kalos kai agathos

the singular balance of the good and the beautiful.
how to balance the urge for pleasure against the longing for devotion.

'sometimes i feel like i understand the divinity of this world, but then i lose it because i get distracted by my petty desires and fears...I guess what i want to learn is how to live in this world and enjoy its delights, but also devote myself to God'
(eat pray love)

weird that i didn't remember you having a blog.

and in regards to the balance...
i look at it like this:

God is the creator of all things beautiful.
devotion to him means devotion to beauty.
which is, in my opinion, the well of pleasure and happiness.

If i understood right, you want a balance God-pleasure, what if the pleasure is God, if there are not good/evil, what if the God wants you to do any think you want, and if he dont need that you pray because he knows that you believe that he exist and he don't need more because this is the most that we(the humans) can take to God? Think about this)
